Machine Learning Engineer, Generative AI

Anthropic is seeking a skilled Machine Learning Engineer to focus on Generative AI. You will play a crucial role in developing, deploying, and scaling our state-of-the-art AI models, particularly those focused on generating human-like text and other creative content. This role involves working closely with our research teams to translate novel AI concepts into robust, production-ready systems. You'll contribute to building safer and more beneficial AI. **Responsibilities:** - Build and maintain infrastructure for training and deploying large-scale generative models. - Develop and implement efficient inference pipelines. - Collaborate with researchers to implement and evaluate new model architectures and training techniques. - Monitor model performance and troubleshoot issues in production. - Contribute to the development of responsible AI practices and safety mechanisms. **Minimum Qualifications:** - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field. - 2+ years of professional experience in machine learning engineering. - Strong programming skills in Python. - Experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, JAX). - Familiarity with distributed systems and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure). **Preferred Qualifications:** - Experience with large language models (LLMs) and generative AI. - Experience with MLOps tools and practices. - Strong understanding of model optimization and performance tuning.
